MTM Engineering Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team in Strabane, with occasional travel in Europe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering pre-construction/construction activities for our clients on both pre-construction design and in live project settings.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering input to projects, reviewing specifications and drawings, and generating RFI and CDE documents.

You will also lead technical reviews of outsourced specialist equipment, monitor project performance, and coordinate with site management teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing electrical engineering input to projects in design and work in progress
  • Supporting the tender and bidding process
  • Reviewing and generating RFI and CDE documents
  • Leading technical reviews of outsourced specialist equipment
  • Monitoring project performance and coordinating with site management teams

Requirements:

  • 3rd Level qualification or relevant trade industry experience with a proven track record
  • Experience working on electrical packages as a contracts manager or site-based foreman
  • Experience in purchasing and negotiating with supply chain and sub-contractors
  • Exceptional attention to detail with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Ability to analyze and understand every provision and requirement of a contract
  • Negotiation and collaboration skills
  • Adept at communicating
  • Ability to coordinate with internal BIM/CAD teams
