We are currently seeking a highly skilled Development Infrastructure Engineer to join our regional Development Team in Bristol.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to contribute to the growth of our team, focusing on development infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative environment, supporting the production of designs and drawings for construction projects and technical reports for masterplanning in support of planning applications.

The ideal candidate will be active on several projects and client accounts at any given time, reporting to a senior member of the Development Team. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day support in the delivery of concept studies/strategies with hands-on design, leading to planning applications, technical approval submissions, and construction drawing issue.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in civil engineering, highway design, drainage strategy and design, flood risk assessment and management, utility design and planning. A good working knowledge of the Development Industry is essential, as well as an appreciation of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, and building structures.

You will also have the ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations, and construction drawings. Good written and spoken communication skills are required, as well as awareness of current and emerging technical and planning guidance on climate change and sustainability.

A robust knowledge of the financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering both large and small projects is also necessary. Postgraduate experience and working towards Chartership or equivalent commercial experience and responsibility are preferred.
