Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service professional to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide solutions to meet their needs.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth collections and deliveries, and communicate with customers regarding any issues.
  • Claims Management: Manage customer claims and paperwork, and ensure accurate and timely resolution.
  • Database Management: Update internal and external databases with accurate information, including PODs, ETAs, and invoice changes.
  • Supplier Management: Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and arrange bookings for customers.
  • Reporting: Provide daily reports to key customers, and work with the accounts team to set up new businesses on our internal system.
  • Customer Portal Management: Manage customer portal access, and deal with any queries from customers regarding the portal and booking jobs.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Assist the management team with ad hoc projects, including updating the CRM system with new potential customers.

Requirements:

  • Logistics Background: Ideally, you will have a logistics background, preferably from a UK Haulage or Pallet Network, but Parcels and Freight Forwarding will be considered too.
  • Customer Service Experience: You must have B2B customer service experience, and have a good understanding of computer systems, attention to detail, and a professional manner.
  • Problem-Solving: You should have a passion for problem-solving and finding solutions to meet customer needs.
