About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our dynamic team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health assessments, treatment programs, and risk management for women affected by moderate to severe mental health illnesses in the preconception, antenatal, and postnatal periods.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a qualified Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills. You will be required to maintain a clinical case load, working effectively in the multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based interventions and treatments. Your role will involve visiting patients in their own homes and communities, as well as running clinics at the team base and other community venues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong sense of initiative, excellent team working ability, and excellent communication skills. You will also need to possess knowledge and experience of nursing interventions and community assessment skills. Qualifications or a willingness to undertake training relevant to the post are expected.
