Dedicated Mental Health Professional

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our dynamic mental health team in Cumbria. Location is not constrained to Cumbria as we accept applications from Anywhere in the UK.
Job Type: Flexible working pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute or chronic mental health issues.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient's unique mental health needs.
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions, monitoring for side effects and patient response.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, offering guidance and education on mental health conditions.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and ensure all interventions are safe, appropriate, and in line with best practices.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and other mental health support programs aimed at promoting well-being and resilience.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting care and progress in accordance with professional standards.
- Promote recovery-focused approaches, encouraging patients to actively engage in their treatment and care plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage mental health emergencies in both inpatient and community settings.
- Ensure adherence to mental health legislation, safeguarding policies, and NHS standards.
Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC Pin.
- Experience in mental health nursing, ideally within inpatient, outpatient, or community settings.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and the Mental Health Act.
- Experience in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and managing challenging behaviours (preferred).
