Social Work Lead Specialist

We are seeking an experienced interim Team Manager to lead our children's service in Tameside, providing effective leadership and management to a team of professionals.
About the RoleThis key leadership position involves managing a team of 7 professionals, including Social Workers and a Senior Practitioner, ensuring the effective delivery of services to vulnerable children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Line management and supervision of team members, ensuring high standards of practice and performance
- Chairing strategy meetings and supervising personal plans with Social Workers, driving positive outcomes for children and families
- Staff development and risk identification, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Progressing permanency plans and ensuring timely transition planning for young people, prioritizing their needs and well-being
The role involves a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of 3 days per week spent in the office and a full week when the team is on duty, balancing flexibility with the need for face-to-face interaction.
RequirementsApplicants should have significant experience in managing a cared for children's team and possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, enabling them to drive positive change and achieve exceptional results.
The estimated salary for this role is £45.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of the position and the expected level of expertise, as well as the company's commitment to rewarding high-quality candidates.
