The Role of Principal Designer

As the Principal Designer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations, managing design risk, and embedding health and safety best practices throughout all project stages. You will collaborate closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to provide expert guidance and support during the design and construction phases.

  • Conduct thorough design risk assessments and develop effective hazard elimination strategies.
  • Provide expert CDM and health and safety advice to clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Participate in site inspections and client meetings to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the wider project team to integrate health and safety fully into the project.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
