About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at SED Limited. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for covering absent teachers and helping students complete pre-set work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students with Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Use effective teaching methods to engage students and promote learning
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless coverage
  • Provide support and guidance to students with complex needs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of teaching pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Excellent teaching methods and a passion for inclusive education
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Experience using Makaton, TEACCH, and PECS
  • Passion and commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
