Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our project team in Leatherhead, Surrey, to work on a retrofit of onshore GOSP & processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review design packages for electrical systems and equipment, including drawings, datasheets, and calculations.
  • Prepare the Project Design Basis Document and project load lists based on the project scope.
  • Produce technical reports and specifications for electrical equipment.
  • Manage electrical activities of EPC contractors during the FEED and design phase.
  • Coordinate with Project managers to finalize the Electrical Engineering scope.
  • Carry out analysis of major equipment selected in the design package.
  • Review and respond to technical and site queries.
  • Support and attend equipment FAT.
  • Ensure design work by contractor is in accordance with company design standards and applicable codes/regulations.
  • Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers in evaluating MR, TBE, and AR provided by Contractor.
  • Review and evaluate Change Orders to ensure compliance with standards and costs are in line with project budget.
  • Work closely with Engineering Teams to ensure facility integrity in terms of HSE.
  • Provide technical assurance for electrical discipline deliverables.
  • Prepare approvals of electrical engineering packages prior to being issued for construction.
Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
  • Strong experience in design, engineering, and construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer desirable.
  • Familiarity with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and other International electrical standards.
  • Experience with Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) or similar software.
