Job Title: Housing Support Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Gateway Housing Association. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a positive impact in the lives of our older residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence.

About the Role:
  • Deliver enhanced care needs for our older residents through effective coordination of resident support services.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of assigned housing schemes, maintaining a safe and supportive living environment.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, care providers, and external agencies to address complex issues and provide tailored support.
Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough needs assessments, viewings, and tenancy sign-ups to ensure seamless transitions.
  2. Assist residents with claiming housing benefits, budgeting, and debt management, promoting financial stability.
  3. Liaise with other departments and suppliers to maintain compliance, safety, and security across assigned schemes.
  4. Coordinate multi-agency care services, ensuring safeguarding protocols are adhered to and residents' rights are respected.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to data protection protocols and ensuring confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and compassion when working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and relevant software.
  • Knowledge of health and social care services for older adults, including relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
