Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team at NXP Semiconductors. As a key member of our documentation team, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing technical documentation using DITA standards and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, reference manuals, and other documentation assets.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of content.
  • Review and edit documentation to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to DITA standards.
  • Manage the versioning and revision control of DITA documents using DesignSync.
  • Work with management to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the NXP internal DITA (CRR) tool team for issue resolution and new feature integration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, or a related field to digital semiconductor development (HW or SW).
  • Proven experience creating and managing technical documentation using DITA standards and tools (e.g., Oxygen XML Editor, Inkscape).
  • Strong understanding of DITA principles, including topic-based authoring, reuse, and specialization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with DesignSync version control systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certification in DITA or technical writing is a plus.
