We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker specialising in Children in Need and Child Protection for Connect2Halton. In this challenging role, you will work with vulnerable children and families, providing vital support and safeguarding services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs and risks of children in need or protection, developing effective care plans to address these concerns.
  • You will manage complex cases within care proceedings, collaborating closely with legal and other professionals to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
  • You will establish and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and relevant professionals through regular visits and communication.
  • You will actively participate in meetings, case reviews, and court proceedings to ensure the best interests of the children.
  • You will maintain accurate, up-to-date records, reports, and documentation to facilitate seamless communication among stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • You must be a Qualified Social Worker with active HCPC/SWE registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection and care proceedings is required.
  • You must be local enough to conduct in-person visits on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on individual cases.
  • Flexibility to work both from home and in the field to accommodate the needs of our children and families is essential.

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure reflects the expected compensation based on the location and job requirements.
