In this crucial role, you will provide expert guidance and technical support throughout the decommissioning process of energy sector facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from structural design and analysis to project management and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise for all aspects of structural decommissioning within the energy sector.
  • Develop innovative structural designs for new infrastructure and modifications required to facilitate safe and efficient decommissioning operations.
  • Contribute to project cost estimations by providing accurate assessments of structural work scopes.
  • Leverage your expertise to support tender activities, ensuring comprehensive structural considerations are integrated.
  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects, overseeing all phases from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement project-specific decommissioning processes and procedures, promoting safety and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in progress meetings and planning sessions, providing valuable technical insights.
  • Resolve technical queries promptly and effectively, ensuring all design changes are documented through the established change control process.
  • Conduct thorough site surveys on both onshore and offshore assets to gather critical data for structural assessments.
  • Produce comprehensive structural calculations and analysis reports, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and HAZID (Hazard Identification) studies to ensure project safety and integrity.
  • Review and approve discipline documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with clients, third parties, and internal teams to address technical issues effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality discipline documentation deliverables for inclusion in work packs.
  • Ensure that all engineering activities comply with company procedures, industry codes, and client specifications.
  • Maintain a steadfast commitment to safety, environmental protection, and quality assurance throughout project execution.
