About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Support Specialist to provide tailored academic and emotional support to a secondary aged student in an alternative education provision.

The student requires additional support throughout their final year of study to ensure a positive and successful educational experience.

This role involves providing structured, consistent, and empathetic guidance to help the student manage their learning environment and achieve personal and academic goals.

  • Provide 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Assist with academic tasks and support learning in various subjects
  • Monitor and support behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
  • Support mental health and wellbeing, promoting emotional resilience and coping strategies
Key Skills and Qualities:
  1. Experience working with young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or mental health needs
  2. A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students
  3. Understanding of alternative education provisions and how they support students' learning and personal development
