Waste Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Performance Officer to join our Waste Management Team at West Northants Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert technical waste support, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of municipal waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assess complex waste-related situations, ensuring the use of appropriate waste contract monitoring against service standards.
- Proactively build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be involved in the mobilisation of new key contracted services, reviewing specification requirements and implementing robust systems to audit new services.
Requirements:
- Substantial experience of working within a waste-related field, providing waste management services and managing the performance and service delivery via current and future contracts.
- Strong customer focus, organisational and management skills, along with knowledge and experience of overseeing health and safety in an operational environment and of managing and resolving technical waste issues.
