Join Our Team as a Waste Operative

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Waste Operative to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing of waste materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machinery, including forklifts, counterbalances, compactors, and balers, to process waste materials.
  • Capture and record data accurately, adhering to company procedures and guidelines.
  • Sort waste into appropriate streams, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Uphold all health and safety procedures, reporting any incidents or near misses in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Punctuality and reliability, with a strong commitment to starting shifts on time.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
