Learning Assistant

This Teaching Assistant position at North Lakes Children's Services requires a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team. As a key member of staff, you will support the learning and development of pupils with special educational needs, assisting with lesson planning and contributing to the overall success of our school community.
As a Learning Assistant, you will provide individualized support to pupils, help resolve issues that cause anxiety or emotional response, and maintain accurate records as required by the school.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with children with special educational needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities- Providing individualized support to pupils in 1:1, group, or classroom situations
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivering KS4 programs of study
- Developing social skills and appropriate behavior in pupils with SENDCo
- Resolving issues that cause anxiety or emotional response in pupils
- Maintaining accurate records and collaborating with teaching staff
- Supporting the delivery of Key Stage 2 and 3 curriculum maps
- Term-time only role with hours of work: 9am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday
- Excellent training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Salary: £16,582.28 per annum (prorata salary)
