Commodities Trading Operations Expert

At Commoditas, we are seeking a highly skilled Commodities Trading Operations Expert to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between trading operations and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis:
    • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across the trading, risk management, and compliance teams.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of trading workflows and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Commodities Trading Operations:
    • Configure and customize our Commodities Trading Operations platform to meet business requirements.
    • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate our platform with other internal and external systems.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage projects related to the implementation and enhancement of our Commodities Trading Operations platform.
    • Ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of our Commodities Trading Operations platform.
    • Develop training materials and documentation.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Design and implement custom reports and dashboards within our Commodities Trading Operations platform.
    • Analyze trading data to provide insights and recommendations to the trading and risk management teams.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure that all solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
    • Monitor and report on compliance issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the commodities trading sector.
    • Proven experience with our Commodities Trading Operations platform is essential.
    • Strong understanding of commodities markets, particularly in oil, gas, metals, etc.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with our Commodities Trading Operations platform's Python-based architecture.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with SQL and database management.
    • Knowledge of API integrations and data visualization tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong project management abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based implementations.
  • Certification in Business Analysis or Project Management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in commodities trading.
