S&P Global is seeking a seasoned Commodities Analyst Lead to join our EMEA Commodities team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in credit analysis and contribute to shaping the company's ratings strategy.

About the Role

The Commodities Analyst Lead will be responsible for leading market education efforts, participating in research projects, and providing key stakeholders with valuable insights on commodities companies. You will engage with senior management at rated companies and build independent views that feed into rating committee decisions. Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing full credit analysis for determining ratings on commodities companies and their debt issues.
  • Leading credit recommendations in rating committees.
  • Publishing press releases, company-specific reports, and industry commentaries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous monitoring of operating performance of rated companies, including review of public filings and private information supplied by issuers.
  • Effectively communicating S&P Global Ratings' methodology and analytical views to C-Suite issuers and high-profile investors.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in corporate credit analysis. The ideal candidate will have:
  • A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with a CFA charter being a plus.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in credit analytics, covering non-financial corporates.
  • Excellent financial statement analysis and modeling skills, good accounting knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to give effective presentations to senior executives and high-profile investors.
  • Ability to undertake rigorous analytical work and write analytical reports in English.
