Job Title: SEN Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team at Targeted Provision Ltd. As a SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners. As a SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with a range of learning needs. You will work closely with our team of SEN Support Specialists to ensure that each young person receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, trauma-informed tuition sessions to young people with SEND, SEMH, and MLD/SLD needs
  • Work closely with our SEN Support Specialists to ensure that each young person receives the support they need
  • Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on young people's progress
Requirements:
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references
  • You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online assignments
