Job Title: SEN Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team at Targeted Provision Ltd. As a SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational support to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD).

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher or experienced SEN professional to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. As a SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one tuition in Maths, English, or Science to students with a range of learning needs. You will work closely with our team of SEN Support Specialists to ensure that each student receives tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, trauma-informed tuition sessions to students with SEND, SEMH, and MLD/SLD needs
  • Work collaboratively with our SEN Support Team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide regular progress updates and feedback to students, parents, and carers
  • Contribute to the development of our team's knowledge and skills through participation in training and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, and MLD/SLD needs
  • Experience of working in a trauma-informed environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
