Job Title: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group. As a Macmillan Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological support to patients with cancer, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex psychological needs
  • Deliver individual and group psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy and other evidence-based approaches
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the evaluation of service effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience of working with patients with cancer and complex psychological needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
