Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced clinical psychologist to lead our adult ADHD, ASD, and Tourette's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall clinical governance of the service, working closely with managerial and clinical leads to ensure the smooth operation and development of the service.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as experience in leadership and clinical supervision. They will be responsible for undertaking direct clinical and diagnostic work, assisting in the development and transformation of the service delivery model, and providing supervision to other clinical staff.

The successful candidate will also be expected to advise and assist other clinical teams in developing care pathways and expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental conditions, and work closely with the service manager to manage and lead the staff team.

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health, and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. We focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible, and promote a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall clinical leadership and governance of the service
  • Undertaking direct clinical and diagnostic work as required
  • Assisting in the development and transformation of the service delivery model
  • Providing supervision to other clinical staff as required
  • Advising and assisting other clinical teams in developing care pathways and expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Working closely with the service manager in the management and leadership of the staff team
