Pump Engineer Foreman Job Description

A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pump Service Engineer to join our team as a Works Foreman at Ambitek Limited.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on pump repair work, both in-house and on-site, including strip-downs, reports, and final testing.
  • Build-up of pump set assemblies and site surveys/customer meetings to fault-find systems and promote the company.
  • Preparation of quotes for work, providing accurate costing details, and assisting with commercial decisions on pump replacement or repair.
  • Shopfloor supervision and control, including workload management, scheduling, non-productive time, discipline, communication, training, and Health & Safety.
  • Liaison with sales and works stores to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time.
  • Maintenance scheduling and calibration of equipment, as well as maintenance scheduling of the building and machinery.
  • Ensuring all vans are regularly serviced, MOT-checked, and fully legal at all times.
  • Assisting with the ongoing training of future engineers and mentoring and training of apprentice engineers.
  • Overall promotion, effectiveness, and smooth running of all shopfloor activities.
