Pump Service Foreman Job Description

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Pump Service Foreman to join our team at Ambitek Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our clients' pump systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on pump repair work, both in-house and on-site
  • Carrying out all aspects of pump repair, from strip and report to final testing
  • Building up of pump set assemblies
  • Site surveys and customer meetings to fault-find systems and promote company services
  • Preparing quotes for work, providing accurate costing details
  • Assisting with commercial decisions on pump replacement or repair
  • Shop floor supervision and control
  • Managing workload, scheduling, non-productive time, discipline, communication, and training of service engineers
  • Health and safety, cleanliness, and good order of works area
  • Liaising with sales and works stores to ensure jobs are done correctly and on time
  • Maintenance scheduling and calibration of equipment
  • Maintenance scheduling of the building and machinery
  • Ensuring vans are regularly serviced, MOT-checked, and fully legal at all times
  • Assisting with ongoing training of future engineers
  • Assisting in mentoring and training of apprentice engineers
  • Overall promotion, effectiveness, and smooth running of shop floor activities
