Titanic Brewery seeks an accomplished leader to oversee The Roebuck pub, a renowned real ale and food establishment in Leek.

The Roebuck is a cherished community hub, offering a wide selection of cask ales and high-quality, locally sourced food. As the ideal candidate, you will have extensive experience in managing a team and driving sales growth while delivering exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To guarantee The Roebuck is prepared for business and operating at its full potential daily.
  • Lead and motivate the team to maximize sales and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • To ensure the business continues to achieve company objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Profitability - Maximize sales and achieve high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Quality - Ensure correct preparations are made for customer needs while adhering to Titanic Brand standards.
  • Staff - Control staff presentation, daily performance, absence & holidays.
  • Stock - Maintain secure and cost-effective levels of stock for the bar.
  • Health and Safety - Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and the provision of a safe working environment.
  • Personal Licence – A valid Personal Licence is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day control of The Roebuck and ensure high standards of customer service are achieved at all times.
  • Ensure agreed standards for food and drink are delivered on every occasion.
  • Support the supervisors & staff to maximize sales, being fully aware of all the food and drinks facilities and special promotions.
  • In accordance with company guidelines, deal with any complaints/issues raised in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all staff arrive on duty at the correct time and in the correct uniforms, recording any lateness/absence.
  • Lead and develop staff to maintain and improve high standards of service.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and the provision of a safe working environment.
  • Ensure the bar is stocked efficiently, taking note of Titanic branded products. Report maintenance faults promptly.
  • Compose rotas and timesheets in line with business forecasts and wage budgets.
  • Oversee cash handling, and ensure that the daily cash reports are completed.
  • Continually take on board customer feedback, and act upon accordingly.
  • To recruit, train and develop an effective team ensuring the full utilisation of systems to required standards.
  • Carry out any other duties outside the normal routine within the overall scope of the position.

  • Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
