Cygnet Hospital Taunton is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Services Coordinator to join our team. This is a 9-12 month fixed-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for supporting ward administrators in maintaining accurate patient records and databases. You will also assist in collecting and analysing data to meet corporate requirements.

We are a leading national provider of specialist mental health services, offering acute inpatient admissions and a specialist service for men with a learning disability. Our hospital is situated in a rural setting, providing a peaceful and calming environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support ward administrators in maintaining accurate patient records and databases.
  • Assist in collecting and analysing data to meet corporate requirements.
  • Attend ward rounds, take minutes, and provide reports.
  • Implement effective filing systems and manage medical records.
  • Provide cover in the reception area, including handling switchboard duties and maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • Experience in administration within a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of mental health and patient confidentiality issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.

Salary:

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
