Job Title: AWS Solutions Architect

AWS Solutions Architect is a key role in Amazon's sales organization, responsible for crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address complex customer challenges. As a member of the AWS sales team, you will work with customers to understand their business needs and develop solutions that leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced technical expertise and experience in Accelerated Computing to unblock customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
  • Act as a thought leader, sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events.
  • Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide, creating field enablement materials to help SAs understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
A Day in the Life:

Meet with customers and their account managers and solution architects to discuss opportunities to transform their workloads with AWS. Discuss opportunities with supporting AWS service specialist teams, cloud economics, and partner teams to fine-tune architectures, solutions, and migration strategies. Share updates on customer trends with the team and key stakeholders before celebrating with the extended team in a collaborative and hybrid working environment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  • 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  • 3+ years of technology/software sales experience.
  • Experience with designing, building, and operating platforms and workloads based on Accelerated Computing (HPC, Quantum, GPU, FPGA).
  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  • Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and developers.
  • Proficiency with design, deployment, and evaluation of LLM-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches.
  • Advanced degree highly preferred such as engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
