We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Careers Advisor to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Bexley. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing expert careers advice and support.

Job Overview:
  • Career Development: Help students develop their career aspirations and identify their strengths and interests.
  • Career Pathways: Provide guidance on various career pathways, including apprenticeships, university, and work experience opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. One-on-One Guidance: Provide expert one-on-one careers advice and support to students to help them achieve their goals.
  2. Career Workshops and Fairs: Organize and conduct workshops, career fairs, and talks with local employers and colleges to provide students with valuable industry insights and opportunities.
  3. Application Support: Assist students with applications for apprenticeships, university, and work experience opportunities, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: A minimum of £25,000 salary is expected for this role, commensurate with experience in careers guidance within an educational setting.
  2. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to engage and inspire young people.
  3. Knowledge: Knowledge of local labour markets and opportunities is required to provide students with relevant and accurate information.
  4. Certifications: Possess a Valid Enhanced DBS and up-to-date Safeguarding Training certifications.
