Senior Bioinformatician
About the Role:We are seeking a senior bioinformatician to join our team at Hlx Life Sciences. In this role, you will work on developing computational models for protein engineering and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design and optimize proteins for R&D projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing deep learning models for protein engineering
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design and optimize proteins for R&D projects
- Presenting project updates to diverse teams within the organization
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Biophysics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, or related field (3+ years industry experience)
- Strong Python skills with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Git experience
- Knowledge of deep learning models for biological problems, focusing on machine learning-based protein engineering
- Experience working in high-performance computing environments
The estimated salary for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 per year.
