Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Controller to join our BDUK Vertical Lift Operations Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery and execution of Base Maintenance and/or modification upgrades on aircraft or multiple aircraft within the operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and execute Base Maintenance and/or modification upgrades on aircraft or multiple aircraft within the operational environment.
  • Lead the Maintenance Planning and Control Team to deliver assigned input.
  • Ensure team understanding of requirements, work undertaken/completed, and adherence to relevant planned work instructions, Engineering Instructions, or ATP.
  • Ensure sufficient resource availability to meet aircraft schedule milestones and on-time completion of work, considering HF (personnel, tooling, and spares).
  • Interface with customers during the aircraft input phase.
  • Complete all workloads to budget and ensure emerging work is correctly captured as Over and Above.
  • Manage the integration of emerging and scheduled Over and Above work within the scheduled workload.
  • Coordinate 3rd Signature maintenance packages.
  • Control and manage defects arising from Maintenance input or modification.
  • Create and manage metrics to track check performance, including daily reporting to internal key stakeholders and customers.
  • Participate in Continual Improvement workshops as a Subject Matter Expert, when required.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Highly experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair, and modification, with demonstrable experience of leading teams in an aerospace environment. Chinook experience is desirable.
  • Ability to gain required experience/competencies to gain 3rd signature authority.
  • Good communicator, technical and non-technical, with ability to effectively engage across multiple Functions and levels, both internally and with the customer.
  • Demonstrable and proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
  • Capable of providing leadership to their team/s, maintaining a scheduled plan, sequencing and control of demanding workloads, for on-time completion, to budget, and to the required standard.
  • Capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings, and/or associated Authorised Technical Publications (ATPs), to provide guidance to their team/s if necessary.

Work Authorisation

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance for which the Government requires UK Citizenship.

Relocation

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
