Job Description

Boeing is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Controller to join our team in the UK. As a key member of the BDUK Vertical Lift Operations Team, you will be responsible for the delivery and execution of Base Maintenance and/or modification upgrades on aircraft or multiple aircraft within the operational environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of maintenance control staff to carry out the planning, day-to-day oversight, and control of the maintenance event.
  • Ensure the team understands the requirements, with regard to work undertaken/completed, having been carried out in accordance with the relevant planned work instruction, Engineering Instruction or ATP.
  • Manage the integration of emerging and scheduled Over and Above work within the scheduled work load.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure sufficient resource is available to meet aircraft schedule milestones and on time completion of work.
  • Provide leadership to the team to maintain a scheduled plan, the sequencing and control of demanding workloads, for on time completion, to budget and to the required standard.
Requirements
  • Highly experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair and modification, with demonstrable experience of leading teams in an aerospace environment.
  • Ability to gain the required experience/competencies to gain 3rd signature authority.
  • Good communicator, technical and non-technical, with the ability to effectively engage across multiple Functions and levels, both internally and with the customer.
  • Proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance for which the Government requires UK Citizenship. Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems.
