About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all project workers and those affected by our activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a prominent advocate for health, safety, and the environment, fostering continuous improvement and innovation to cultivate a mature safety culture.
  • Engage with clients as stipulated by contract health and safety requirements.
  • Support the creation and execution of behavioural safety campaigns, track results, and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Offer expert health, safety, and environmental counsel, assistance, and direction to project and partnership personnel.
  • Partner with contractors to establish, apply, and enhance health and safety protocols, systems, and procedures.
  • Participate in, contribute to, and represent AECOM Arup on health and safety matters in project meetings.
  • Generate reports for all managed works and projects to convey status, performance, and improvements.
  • Aid in reviewing and refining health and safety project deliverables to guarantee successful project initiation and progress.
  • Guarantee adherence to and effectiveness of the assurance programme across all projects.
Requirements
  • Vast experience in health and safety, including leading major energy, construction, or pre-construction projects as a Health and Safety Manager for a principal contractor or consultant.
  • Chartered IOSH membership or an equivalent credential, along with formal health and safety qualifications, complemented by relevant sector-specific training.
  • Natural adherence to AECOM Arup's equity, diversity, and inclusion policies.
