We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at AECOM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting and delivering project health and safety expectations through the design and pre-construction site activities phase of one of the UK's largest energy upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Wellbeing Lead and Principal Designer Lead to develop and implement health and safety strategies
- Lead the development of internal and client operational standards, technical health & safety deliverables, and digital system development
- Oversee the creation of culture and initiative campaigns, formulate reports, and track results
- Act as a prominent advocate for health, safety, and the environment, fostering continuous improvement and innovation
- Engage with clients and delivery partner representatives to develop and execute project health and safety approaches
- Offer expert health and safety counsel, assistance, and direction to client, partner, and project personnel
- Vast experience of health and safety experience, including experience in leading major energy, construction, or pre-construction projects
- Chartered IOSH membership or an equivalent credential, along with formal health and safety qualifications and relevant sector-specific training
- Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and visual mediums
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and make clear, concise, and well-considered decisions independently
