Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial reporting process and provide insights to management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and drive the implementation of new reporting tools and processes.
  • Partner with senior management to analyze business performance, identify key drivers, and develop strategies to achieve financial objectives.
  • Ensure a smooth closing process by collaborating with accounting and other stakeholders to meet reporting deadlines and accuracy standards.
  • Review financial results, discuss findings with local management, and highlight areas of concern or opportunity.
  • Analyze site results, productivity, and overheads to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and propose actionable recommendations to enhance profitability.
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews in collaboration with accounting, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate significant items to management for appropriate action.
  • Ensure adherence to financial processes and controls by both finance and operations teams, and perform regular reviews to verify compliance.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of key controls, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with stakeholders to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
  • Prepare business cases for new initiatives or investments, evaluating financial feasibility and potential return on investment.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in financial controlling, with a demonstrated track record of success in driving business performance and financial integrity.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, with a strong accounting background preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, with the ability to extract and analyze financial data for decision-making purposes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting processes, and business case development.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated on industry trends and best practices in financial controlling.
