Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Childcare Support Worker to join our residential team at a specialist school in Billericay, Essex. As a Senior Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students from the point of leaving school, during the evening, with daily routines, activities, and homework
  • Encourage students to engage in physical activities and participate in evening events
  • Assist with school work, watch TV or a film, and support students to go to bed after a story or chat
  • Write and agree placement plans, risk assessments, activity rotas, and review reports as required

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and young people or young adults with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Child/Young Persons Care, or equivalent, is essential
  • Full UK driving license
  • Ability to work shifts

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £28,115 - £34,757 per annum
  • A 40.75-hour working week with shifts including Monday to Thursday 2.30pm to 10.45pm and Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm
  • A monthly salary paid throughout the year
