Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Professionals to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the lives of young people, providing guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate their journey towards independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a safe and welcoming home environment by managing daily tasks and ensuring a comfortable living space for the young people in our care.
  • Foster individual growth and development by planning and participating in engaging activities that cater to their interests and needs.
  • Prioritize the well-being of each young person by implementing safeguarding practices and contributing to comprehensive care plans.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with the young people based on empathy, respect, and open communication.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques and established care protocols.
  • Encourage healthy lifestyles by promoting positive habits and supporting their overall well-being.
  • Facilitate connections with families and support networks to foster a sense of belonging and community.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop, implement, and review individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Participate actively in child care reviews, advocating for the best interests of the young people under our care.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable youth in a residential setting is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport and trust with young people and colleagues alike.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for clear and effective interactions.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
