Type: Full-time Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our team at a Specialist Nurture school in the Wakefield area.
The full-time role will start soon, for one full term initially, which is likely to continue long-term. The specialist Nurture school provides education and care services for children aged 11-19 years old with complex special educational needs, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities.
The establishment is one of the largest education care and support services for children and young people with disabilities. Our school offers a range of therapeutic services that align with the PBS framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain qualified teacher status or equivalent.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ASDAN, NCFE entry level, and foundation learning across the range of learning levels.
- Show a keen interest in teaching vulnerable children with SEND & Neurodiversity.
- Be flexible to attend meetings & CPD after school times.
- Hold a DBS on the subscription service.
