About This Role
Pacesetters Healthcare Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Domiciliary Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and physical well-being.
- Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Certification in medication administration or willingness to obtain certification is required.
- A valid driving licence is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
