About the Role

Mencap is seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team in Redruth. As a Relief Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activities, providing emotional support and promoting independence.
  • Work with a diverse group of individuals, each with their unique abilities and needs.
  • Support 4 active young adults in their own home, engaging in activities such as fitness clubs, boating, and volunteer work.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for supporting others and a positive attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A valid driver's license, as this role requires driving.
Contract Options
  • Relief shifts, with rotas prepared at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • A non-contractual sleep-in option, with an enhanced flat rate payment.
