Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team in Redditch. As a SEN Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to students with diverse needs, including physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties, and autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with physical disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Support students with severe learning difficulties and profound multiple learning difficulties in their educational and personal development.
  • Assist students with autism in their communication and social interaction.
  • Provide support for students with moderate learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with sight and hearing impairments.
  • Foster a nurturing environment for students with Down syndrome, promoting their overall well-being.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and caring approach, understanding the unique needs of each student.
  • The ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students with various disabilities.
  • A willingness to follow a routine and provide stability for students.
  • Candidates who can bring a sense of fun and playfulness to engage students, particularly those with drama backgrounds comfortable with being silly.

Working with GSL Education:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
