Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Global Operational Resilience & Governance team as a Reinsurance Governance Manager.

This role involves working closely with business partners across the process value chain to continuously improve their risk and compliance framework. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for business partners related to all operational, compliance, and financial risk topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and improving the risk control framework of Reinsurance business
  • Providing Governance support to Valuation and Analysis teams globally
  • Partnering with business leaders to maintain a robust risk and control framework
  • Advising the business on any operational risk or governance matters
  • Driving identification of potential gaps in controls and areas for improvement or simplification
  • Leading or contributing to governance work streams of key group projects
  • Collaborating with assurance functions to drive greater value for the organisation
  • Using data analytics and visualisations to highlight concerns and for monitoring
Requirements:
  • Insurance/reinsurance operational experience and/or Actuarial or Risk expertise
  • Good understanding of actuarial methods, IFRS accounting principles, and information systems
  • Deep knowledge of the three lines of defence concept
  • Experience in leading projects and change initiatives
  • Experience in driving improved use of data to manage risks is a plus
  • University degree or equivalent business experience
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage
What We Offer

The Operational Resilience & Governance Team sits under Business Excellence and delivers on a wide range of business objectives. They are an integrated unit that aligns governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal control efforts to create a comprehensive approach to managing operational and legal & compliance risks.

Salary and Benefits

£42,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

25 days annual leave

Free parking

Free lunch every day

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
