Occupational Therapist for Children and Young People

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with children and young people to help them develop the skills and abilities they need to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, providing high-quality care to children and young people with a range of needs. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating children and young people in their own homes, schools, and community settings. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat children and young people with a range of needs, including physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure that care plans are implemented effectively.
- Provide education and training to families, carers, and other professionals on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy services and policies within the Trust.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Post-registration experience in paediatric occupational therapy.
- Knowledge of national strategies for children and young people with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
