Occupational Therapist for Children and Young People

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with children and young people to help them develop the skills and abilities they need to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, providing high-quality care to children and young people with a range of needs. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating children and young people in their own homes, schools, and community settings. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans to support children and young people to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat children and young people with a range of needs, including physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to support children and young people to achieve their goals.
- Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure that children and young people receive the best possible care and support.
- Provide training and education to families, carers, and other professionals to support children and young people to develop the skills and abilities they need to live independently.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that children and young people receive high-quality care and support.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience of working with children and young people with a range of needs, including physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide training and education to families, carers, and other professionals.
