Job Description

**Job Summary:**

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a top primary school in Leicester. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and will be able to demonstrate a range of behavior management techniques to effectively nurture young students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Student Progress: Provide individualized support to students with SEN, ensuring they receive challenges and encouragement as they advance.
  2. Motivate Students: Ensure all pupils are motivated to learn and achieve their full potential, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  3. Experience with SEND: Possess prior experience providing care and support to young people with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  4. Build Relationships: Develop close bonds with each student to help them reach their full potential, making learning enjoyable and promoting participation in lessons.
  5. Behavior Management: Demonstrate a range of behavior management techniques to effectively manage challenging behavior and promote positive relationships with students.

Requirements:

  1. Safeguarding: Be committed to safeguarding and child protection, with a strong understanding of policies and procedures.
  2. Flexibility: Be flexible and able to work with students from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating a positive and inclusive attitude.
  3. Qualifications: Possess a valid work permit for the UK and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
