Job Description Contract:

Senior Commissioning Manager

A position has arisen for an interim Senior Commissioning Manager targeted at Lung Health Checks. The role is placed within a highly reputable healthcare organisation located in the Derbyshire region, and takes responsibility for a range of commissioning categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with JUCD and regional colleagues to develop an options appraisal to lead on local implementation of the Targeted Lung Health Checks programme (TLHC)
  • Support the business in driving transformation, as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service
  • Provide direction and line management to the commissioning team on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting the Head of Service in the implementation of strategy
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of QIPP through relevant work streams and commissioning managers
  • Work collaboratively with relevant partner organisations including ICB, Local Authorities, primary care etc, and JUCD programme Boards
  • Provide reports and updates, as well as developing/assisting in the delivery of financial and activity dashboards to support the TLHC programme
Requirements:
  • Experience within the public sector and commissioning
  • Extensive knowledge of the national and local cancer agenda
