Venn Group is seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Manager to join a highly reputable healthcare organisation in the Derbyshire region. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of commissioning categories and will play a key role in driving transformation and value for money in planning, commissioning, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop an options appraisal to lead on local implementation of the Targeted Lung Health Checks programme (TLHC)
- Support the business in driving transformation and value for money in planning, commissioning, and service delivery
- Build subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery
- Provide direction and line management to the commissioning team on a day-to-day basis
- Co-ordinate the delivery of QIPP through relevant work streams and commissioning managers
- Support and chair relevant meetings and workstreams
- Work collaboratively with relevant partner organisations, including ICB, Local Authorities, primary care, and JUCD programme Boards
- Provide reports and updates, as well as developing and assisting in the delivery of financial and activity dashboards to support the TLHC programme
- Lead the review of services where necessary, and engender matrix working across the team and with other teams within the ICB
- Experience within the public sector and commissioning
- Educated to a masters level or have the equivalent experience of working at a senior level within cancer-related services
- Extensive knowledge of the national and local cancer agenda
