IT Asset Management Specialist

Job Title: IT Asset Management Specialist
We are seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team at AJ Bell. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to retirement or disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and manage all IT assets owned by the organisation, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Monitor software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and optimise license usage to minimise costs.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of asset inventories and ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse asset usage patterns and identify opportunities to optimise resources and reduce costs without compromising performance.
- Implement effective asset management practices and processes to improve the overall efficiency of IT asset management.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the business.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload.
- Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork with other departments to effectively achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
- Previous experience in an IT Asset management co-ordinator, specialist, or similar role.
- Knowledge of Hardware Asset life cycle from request to disposal.
- Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions, purchase orders, and service agreements.
- Knowledge of software management practices, ensuring optimal use and compliance with licensing agreements.
- Experience of using hardware and software asset management tools or systems.
