About the Role

Compass Bloom is an innovative Mental Health Support Team, providing high-quality services to 85 schools across Central and West Lancashire. We are seeking a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner to join our team and contribute to delivering evidence-based interventions for children, young people, and families.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with educational staff to develop and implement Whole School Approaches, delivering short-term low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed interventions for children and young people aged 5-19 years. This will involve working with children, young people, families, and educational staff to enhance emotional wellbeing and mental health support in educational settings.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in mental health and emotional wellbeing services. The ideal candidate will have a degree or the ability to study at degree level, a proven record of previous academic attainment, and a minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children, young people, and families. Knowledge of the education system in England and child development, child wellbeing, or mental health is also essential.
