Job Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a recent psychology graduate to join our team as an Assistant Psychologist. This role is part of our Aspiring Clinical Psychologists Access Scheme, designed to support individuals from diverse backgrounds to develop their clinical skills and pursue a career in Clinical Psychology.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to support and enhance psychological practice within our Children and Young People's Psychological Service (CYPPS) in Blackpool. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance and support to psychologists and other professionals in developing and implementing therapeutic interventions
  • Conducting research projects and gathering data to inform service development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and deliver training programs
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • An upper second class (2i) honours degree or higher in psychology
  • Entitlement to Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a care setting
  • A strong understanding of child development and the needs of children/young people with mental health difficulties
Salary and Benefits
